During the full-scale war, the Ternopil Regional Center for Child Rehabilitation and Development became a shelter for 89 orphans and children without parental care who were evacuated from dangerous regions.
Currently, both the kids who lived here before and the new arrivals live here. 7 children aged 10 months to 12 years have incurable congenital malformations and genetic diseases.
The Center also has a second, rehabilitation department, where children who live in the Center receive treatment, as well as children from birth to 18 years old with disabilities or health problems who are referred here.
Every month, 85-100 children with congenital malformations, cerebral palsy, autism, retardation of language development, intelligence, etc. undergo rehabilitation here, half of them are children who, together with their parents, were evacuated from dangerous regions.
